Despite being relatively short and not providing the exhaustive lists of farming materials that other guides provide, Hit Gold Cap is one of the most effective gold making methods on the Internet.
The guide is broken down into 5 detailed modules. You’ll learn how to start your account, how to setup your add-ons in the auction house, and then how to start trading to make maximum gold. Including top-level secrets for making gold with your enchanting materials and building on a long term strategy to create gold through tips like cross faction trading and server swapping, this guide is simple and to the point, but never skimps on details.
Conclusion:
If you like to farm and spend hours of your life out in the field playing World of Warcraft for that magical gold cap potential, then Hit Gold Cap probably isn’t the guide for you. However, if you want to hit the gold cap with the best insider view of the auction house and the cogs of the WoW economy, check this guide out.

Technically, Warcraft Blueprint is not a gold guide. It’s a combination guide that brings together levelling, PvP, gold making and much more to provide a complete overview of the game. It just so happens that the gold guide aspect of Warcraft Blueprint is incredibly detailed, showing players how to get through essentially the entire run through of content from the first moment you step into the game until you reach the levelling cap.
The gold guide contains detailed maps of every ore, herb and skinning hot spot. It also walks through every daily quest for professions, shows you how to make gold with all 14 professions and breaks down the top farming locations for every possible mob drop in the game without sacrificing potential gold making options in the auction house. Oh yeah, it has a great auction house guide.
Conclusion:
If you’re looking for a standalone gold guide to help you get started from scratch, Warcraft Millionaire is a good place to start. But, if you also want to learn how to level up to 80, build your PvP skills and master your class, the gold guide in Warcraft Blueprint is second to none.

This gold guide has been on the Internet for years and in that time it has provided quite a few tips for players looking to make gold. The guide itself has been around for over four years now, and in that time a lot of stuff has been added to the file. I like a lot of the tips that Luke gives, but at the same time I feel that his guide has gotten messy and cluttered in the last four years.
That shouldn’t be an issue for anyone at level 80 or 85 looking to make some gold in diverse ways. But if you’re new to the game and need a clear concise walkthrough of the gold making methods that work best, you might be better off with a guide that carries similar content in a cleaner format.
Conclusion:
The Gold Secrets guide is a classic, but age is starting to catch up to it. Quick updates are nice, but the fact that they don’t always breakdown everything we need to know makes it hard to recommend this guide instead of the others on this page.
